Micky Wickersham
Clinical Director
Micky is passionate about helping others improve their mental health and maintain long-term sobriety. Being in recovery herself, she brings over 28 years of experience working in the recovery field. She believes that creating balance and stability is key to achieving goals, and she loves seeing others grow and progress. Nothing is more rewarding to her than watching someone discover hope, passion, and enthusiasm for life.

Whitney Stybe
Progam Director
With several years in recovery herself, Whitney is passionate about helping others discover that lasting sobriety is possible. She believes the right support, compassion, and community can change lives, and she loves giving back by sharing her own experiences and inspiring hope in others. Whitney is grateful to be part of the Action Recovery Group team, where she gets to live out her passion every day. Outside of work, she's a proud wife, busy mom of three, and dog mom to three, which means there's never a dull (or quiet) moment at home!

Jim Morgan, CPSS
Lead Peer Support Specialist
Jim is in charge of the peer support staff at Action and ensures that daily needs are met for each client. Jim is amazing at connecting individually with each client. He makes sure their overall well-being is positive and can sense when something is wrong. He loves the AA community and sponsors many in the community. Jim enjoys golfing as much as he can, hiking, and working with individuals who are new to sobriety.

Phillip Mitchell, LCSW
Lead Clinician
Philip works at Action because he loves working in addiction and it’s a great environment with a great staff. Phillip aims to offer clients someone who will meet them where they are and assist them in finding their best self. Phillip is in recovery as well and has 10 years of sobriety. He is extremely passionate about the amazing quality of life that recovery provides. Phillip loves to bike and play disc golf and spend time with his fiance and son.
Lisa Miconi-Correa
Medical Provider FNP
As a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, I am committed to providing compassionate care to individuals on their recovery journey. My history with addiction medicine is deeply personal, I lost my brother to an opioid overdose, an experience that gave me firsthand insight into the profound impact substance use disorders have on individuals and their families. I strive to support each patient with empathy, respect and hope as they strive to build a healthier future. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family and friends, and i’m proud, loyal Utah Mammoth fan!

Ashley Burnett
Clinician CSW
Ashley works at Action as a trauma therapist, teaching clients to connect with their bodies and heal from the things that caused the pattern of addiction to emerge in their lives. Ashley has been in recovery for nine years, and it is her passion to help clients, as she was also helped during her recovery journey in treatment settings. Ashley is passionate about yoga, breathwork, meditation, and other body-regulating practices that can support emotional regulation and embodiment in recovery. In her view, the opposite of addiction is connection, both with other people and with oneself.

Jake Nilson
Clinician
Jake works at Action because he’s passionate about helping others overcome addiction and appreciates the supportive, positive environment and great team he works with. With 9 years in recovery himself, Jake understands the challenges his clients face and strives to meet them where they are, guiding them toward becoming their best selves. He’s deeply committed to sharing the incredible quality of life that recovery makes possible. In his free time, Jake enjoys trail running and running ultramarathons.

Josh Shinney

Josh is one of our incredible peer support specialists. Josh has a natural talent for connecting with clients and mentoring them at their individual levels. He is dedicated to their wellbeing and always goes above and beyond.
Josh loves to hang out with friends and is an amazing father. He's also athletic and has a passion for the recovery community, sponsoring many.

Shayla Northcott​
Billing Specialist
Shayla works behind the scenes but is an integral part of our team diligently reviewing medical records each day and sending information for insurance payment. Shayla's attention to detail is unmatched as she takes the time to contact staff for information and coordinates EMR information. Her efforts make everyone's lives easier.
Shayla is a cheerful person who loves to spend time with her family. She is married and has two kids. She loves to find deals on everything, and have bunko parties with her friends. We are lucky to have her on our team.

Ashley Shiba
Compliance Coordinator
Ashley is a memeber of our clinical team. She provides compassionate guidance and mentorship to clients, driven by a strong passion for helping individuals overcome challenges related to substance use and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. In addition, she assists the clinical director with updates and communication to outside agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and continuity of care. Ashley’s dedication to her family and to the success of our clients is admirable, and we are fortunate to have her as part of our team.

Russ Sweeten

Russ loves working in recovery because it saved his life 6 years ago. He wants to share the new way of life he was given by fellow people in recovery at Action. Russ loves helping people so they too can experience the amount of joy it has brought to his own life. Russ has two amazing sons and enjoys running ultramarathons and trail running.

Diana Vail

With nearly seven years in recovery, Diana brings both professional dedication and lived experience to her role. As a former client of Action Recovery Group, she understands the challenges of addiction and the hope that recovery can bring. Grateful for the life recovery has given her as a wife, mom, and nana, Diana is passionate about helping others discover that lasting recovery is possible. With empathy, compassion, and genuine understanding, she is honored to support others as they build healthy, fulfilling lives.

Chad Benson
Peer Support Tech
Chad has found a new way of life through recovery and wants to share it with others. He is 19 months into his recovery journey and wants to help people so they can experience the same joy it has brought to him. Chad is an active person who enjoys going to the gym and loves his family and friends. He wants to give back to the recovery community.

Ashley Cottle
Peer Support Tech
Ashley is one of our amazing Peer Support Techs at Action Recovery, the place that truly changed her life. She graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Technical Sales, but her greatest passion is helping others find hope and healing through recovery. Outside of work, she loves to dance, do Pilates, hike, shop, and spend time on the lake. She also cherishes time with her family and friends. She is so thankful to give back to a place that gave her, her life back.

Troy Vigil
Peer Support Tech
Troy is passionate about recovery and is dedicated to helping others discover that a better life is possible. Drawing from his own experiences, he approaches every person with empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to support them on their recovery journey. Outside of work, Troy enjoys spending quality time with kids and can often be found on the golf course whenever he gets the chance. He believes that connection, service, and hope are key ingredients to lasting recovery.
