Clinical Director
Charlie Osborne, LCSW
Charlie has chosen to work with individuals who suffer from addiction because of a strong connection to this population. He was raised around addiction and recovery and is also in recovery himself since 2009. Charlie believes that one of the greatest purposes in his life is to be a conduit in an individual's journey in recovery. Charlie is married to an amazing wife and is the proud father of two beautiful young girls and the proud stepfather of three wonderful teenagers.

Philip Mitchell, LCSW
Philip works at Action because he loves working in addiction and it’s a great environment with a great staff. Phillip aims to offer clients someone who will meet them where they are and assist them in finding their best self. Phillip is in recovery as well and has 10 years of sobriety. He is extremely passionate about the amazing quality of life that recovery provides. Phillip loves to bike and play disc golf.
Office Administrator
Whitney Cordova
Whitney oversees all of the consultations, admissions, and the day to day office functions. She offers the clients compassion and empathy, while also giving them a reality check mixed with some tough love! Whitney had been sober now for almost four years. She has a boyfriend, a young son, an infant daughter, two dogs, and a cat! Whitney enjoys helping people and enjoying all the great things Utah has to offer her family.
Lead Peer Support Specialist
Jim Morgan, CPSS
Jim is in charge of the peer support staff at Action and ensures that daily needs are met for each client. Jim is amazing at connecting individually with each client. He makes sure their overall well-being is positive and can sense when something is wrong. He loves the AA community and sponsors many in the community. Jim enjoys golfing as much as he can, hiking, and working with individuals who are new to sobriety.
Peer Support Specialist, Case Manager
Ray Brock, CPSS
While stationed in Italy, Ray helped ferry in relief supplies into the Italian countryside devastated by a major earthquake that killed over 3,000 people. He was one of seven service members that were awarded the Italian Humanitarian Medal for our efforts over those 3 weeks. Here at Action Recovery, Ray has a special passion for helping others out of the darkness of addiction. He says; "Recovery isn’t just about staying sober, it’s all about redefining and living our best lives."

Amanda Mallobox
Amanda is an invaluable member of our team. As clinical assistant and peer support, she provides guidance and mentorship to our clients. In addition, she assists the clinical director with updates to outside agencies. Amanda's dedication to her family is admirable, and we are lucky to have her on our team.
Billing Specialist
Shayla Northcott
Shayla works behind the scenes but is an integral part of our team diligently reviewing medical records each day and sending information for insurance payment. Shayla's attention to detail is unmatched as she takes the time to contact staff for information and coordinates EMR information. Her efforts make everyone's lives easier.
Shayla is a cheerful person who loves to spend time her family. She is married and has two kids. She loves to find deals on everything, and have bunko parties with her friends. We are lucky to have her on our team.
Peer Support Tech
Diana Brammer
Just a couple of months into her own treatment, Diana knew she wanted to work at Action. She has a deep desire to give addicts what was given to her. Diana loves her job and it fills her heart every time she is there to help. Diana enjoys watching the growth and change in the clients and seeing their lives get to a place they could have never before imagined. She says; "Life is amazing today, there are always going to be bumps in the road, but I have tools and my recovery to fall back on and a new way of thinking."

Josh Shinney, CPSS
Josh is one of our incredible peer support specialists. Josh has a natural talent for connecting with clients and mentoring them at their individual levels. He is dedicated to their wellbeing and always goes above and beyond.
Josh loves to hang out with friends and is an amazing father. He's also athletic and has a passion for the recovery community, sponsoring many.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Shawn Thompson, LCSW
Shawn has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Weber State University and a master's degree in clinical social work from State University. He has worked in various clinical settings, including addiction treatment, crisis intervention, adolescent residential treatment, and family therapy. Shawn has spent most of his life living near the Wasatch foothills, where he enjoys outdoor activities such as trail running, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowshoeing and skiing.

Tricia Buss
Tricia is a RYT Yoga Instructor & certified personal trainer through NFPT. Her mantra is "Fit and heathy is a Journey not a destination". Tricia has been working at Action for several years and absolutely loves every person that has walked through the doors
Registered Nurse
Cathy Perry, BSN, BSW, Psych RN
Cathy is our Psychiatric Nurse at Action. She meets with new clients to review their medical information and ensuring their safety for our program. She assists with family group and is amazing at noticing details that might be overlooked.
Cathy is an animal lover who is always taking in new animals. She finds working with patients fulfilling and has been with us the longest, making her our veteran employee. In her free time, she enjoys raising chickens, playing with her dogs, hiking, and riding Harleys.

Russ Sweeten
Russ loves working in recovery because it saved his life 2 1/2 years ago. He wants to share the new way of life he was given by fellow people in recovery at Action. Russ loves helping people so they too can experience the amount of joy it has brought to his own life. Russ has been married to his wife of 9 years and has two amazing sons.
